On October 8th, 2006, Blue passed peacefully to the bridge at 12 years old. She had her lifetime companion "Baron" at her side. She was at home with her second mom, Amie Perez, where she lived for the last 6 years of her life.

Blue was so loving and devoted. She was brilliant and beautiful, calm, playful and funny. She was very humanized and a wonderful companion. Everyone who met her, loved her. There wasn't a bad bone in her body. She was a GOOD dog, through and through. She was one of the healthiest dogs I've ever known. Even up until the week of her passing, Amie reports that she was still running and playing in the yard with the others. She will be very missed. Goodbye, my dear friend. I'm grateful for the 6 years you shared with us, and all the times since that we've visited.

Blue lives on through the generations here at Snowdove Shelties and with extended family. They are proudly listed here:

Blue is pictured right with her granddaughter, Rikki and her lifetime companion and "husband", Baron. Baron and Blue were together for the first year of his life here at Snowdove Shelties until he went to live with Amie. They visited several times and were reunited 6 years later and spent the last half of her life together, inseparable. He was with her until the very end. We miss you very much, our dear friend.
